Adult Day Treatment (ADT)
Based on a group therapy model, clients share and grow with each other
while learning symptom management, social skills, psychoeducational skills and coping mechanisms. Tailored to fit the individual needs of each client, the ADT program is highly structured and emphasizes client participation in the development of the treatment plan and celebrates the accomplishments of goal achievement.
The ADT program operates in the Valparaiso Office Monday through
Friday, in the Portage Office Monday, Wednesday and Friday and in
the Knox Office on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Program Hours Vary.
Dual Diagnosis Group Therapy
A program designed
specifically for individuals with both a
mental illness and substance abuse diagnosis. This group is
offered 4 days a week (Monday through Thursday) with a 2-hour
focus on substance
abuse issues each day. The goal of this program is
to aid clients in the recovery process for both mental illness and
chemical dependency. These
groups will also teach clients to decrease their chemical dependency and
create effective ways to deal with life stressors, in addition
to the structure and support provided by a Day Treatment
program.
Clubhouse
The Clubhouse program is based on a psychosocial rehabilitation model. Clients and staff blend into one functional unit in the Clubhouse to accomplish a variety of tasks and challenges throughout the work-ordered day. While accomplishing their tasks, the members are also learning and teaching coping and social skills, symptom management and practical skills they can use on the job site once they leave the program. With specialty units made up of Food Service, Maintenance and Clerical, members are able to choose their path and participate in the day-to-day operations of the Clubhouse.
