The Girl in the Cafe
HBO Home Video, 95 minutes (Unrated)

"The Girl in the Cafe is a very simple, low-key, low-paced movie. It is also extremely thought-provoking and challenges us to question the responsibility of government in world politics as well as our individual responsibility to improve the quality of life for others.

Filmed in London, England and Reykjavik, Iceland, the story follows a shy,
soft-spoken lonely British bureaucrat (Nighy) who is on his way to the G8 Summit. He has a chance encounter with an unsuspecting, kind, innocent and inquisitive but outspoken woman in a crowded cafe (Macdonald). As the relationship evolves, the plot expands beyond the two individuals to one that has global implications.

The dialogue is well thought out and inspiring, with natural and remarkable performances from Nighy and Macdonald. In the end, you may find yourself questioning how you can help others in need and just how far you are willing to go down that road."
