Porter-Starke Services Presents 'The Great Adventure: Boundaries & Adolescents'
On Tuesday, September 21, Porter-Starke Services will host its Learn @ Lunch series with an informative education lecture entitled, “The Great Adventure: Boundaries and Adolescents” from 11:30- 1:00 PM at the Knox Community Center, located at 55 East Lake Street in Knox. Todd VanBuskirk, LCSW will be the featured speaker.
How can working with teenagers be rewarding and nerve-racking at the same time? Boundaries, limits and restrictions (oh my!) can create anxiety for both teens and the adults who care for them. This workshop will explore how setting thoughtful limits for young people can provide growth opportunities for the entire family.
Porter-Starke Services Learn @ Lunches are monthly educational seminars featuring informative and practical mental health and wellness topics. Seminar locations rotate between Valparaiso, Portage and Knox and are open to the general public as well as clinicians and educators. Mental Health American of Porter County offers 1.5 Continuing Education Credits for $5.00.
There is no charge for the presentation. Boxed meals are available for $6.00. RSVP is required for attendance. For more information, please call (219) 476-4502 or email: info@porterstarke.org.
