Mental Health Services

Common health issues such as anxiety, depression, anger, grief, substance misuse or trauma are often the reason people seek our services. Most people benefit from a combination of therapy and psychiatric services, which provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for children, teens, adults, and seniors.

Therapy

Therapy can help individuals overcome challenges by building coping skills, increasing self-awareness, and improving daily functioning. At Porter-Starke Services, licensed therapists create personalized care plans tailored to each person’s needs, including therapy type and session frequency. Their team collaborates with psychiatrists, nurses, and case managers to provide comprehensive “whole health” care. Whether facing relationship issues, life changes, behavioral concerns, addiction, or major life events, therapy offers a safe space to process emotions and grow.

Individual

Working one-on-one with a therapist can help people address personal issues, improve or manage symptoms, and explore thoughts, emotions, or behavior patterns.

Couples

Partners can work individually or together with a therapist to explore emotions, address challenges, or simply improve communication and connection within a relationship.

Family

Therapists can work with any combination of family – parents/guardians and their children, grandparents, siblings, aunts or uncles, friends - to promote positive communication and increase understanding and harmony among members.

Group

Facilitated by a therapist, group therapy offers a supportive environment where individuals can share experiences, gain new perspectives, and connect with others facing similar challenges.

Psychiatry & Psychology

Following an initial psychiatric evaluation, medication can be prescribed by our providers to help reduce or alleviate symptoms. This can bring some relief while also improving progress in therapy. Combining these two treatments has been shown to provide the best long-term outcomes.

Medication Management

Porter-Starke Services offers medication management and psychiatric services for youth and adults. Services are customized on a case-by-case basis and include careful review and management of all of your medications.

Psychological Testing

Our team of clinical psychologists provides psychological testing to help clarify a diagnosis and to inform treatment recommendations. This can include neuropsychological testing.
